Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026 · albumbands.com

Album Bands (“we”, “the Service”) is a client-side web app at albumbands.com that turns album artwork into color palettes. This policy describes what we collect and what we do not.

1. No accounts

We do not offer user accounts, and we do not ask you to log in to Spotify, Deezer, or any other service. We do not receive your Spotify password, email, listening history, or playlists.

2. What is processed

3. Spotify credentials

If the operator enables Spotify search, a Client ID and Client Secret are held only in the server process environment. They are never prefixed with VITE_, never written into the JavaScript bundle, and never sent to your browser. The server requests a short-lived application token (Client Credentials flow) and uses it to search public catalog data only — not your personal Spotify account.

Spotify’s own processing of API traffic is described in Spotify’s Privacy Policy. This product uses the Spotify API but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by Spotify.

4. Cookies and local storage

Album Bands does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics pixels. Your browser may keep the current share URL in history. We do not store Spotify access tokens in localStorage or sessionStorage.

5. Logs

The host that serves albumbands.com and the optional API proxy may keep standard web logs (IP address, user agent, requested path, time). Those logs are used for security and reliability, not for advertising.

6. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Third-party sites

Links to Spotify, Deezer, MusicBrainz, social networks, or other sites are outside this policy. Their terms and privacy rules apply once you leave Album Bands.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top is the latest revision.
