Terms of Use

Last updated: August 16, 2026 · albumbands.com

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Album Bands (the “Service”), operated at albumbands.com. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Album Bands lets you search for recorded-music releases and view a color palette extracted from publicly available album artwork. It is provided for personal, non-commercial inspiration and design reference.

2. Not a music streaming service

Album Bands does not stream, host, or sell music. The circular play control opens the matching release on Spotify (or a Spotify search) in a new tab. In-browser Spotify playback via the Spotify Web Playback SDK is not offered: that SDK requires a user login, Spotify Premium, and additional OAuth scopes we do not request.

3. Spotify attribution

This product uses the Spotify API but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by Spotify. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB. Spotify content (including names, artwork, and metadata) remains the property of Spotify and its licensors. Your use of Spotify, if you follow a link out of Album Bands, is governed by Spotify’s Terms.

4. Other data sources

Search may also use Deezer’s public API and MusicBrainz / Cover Art Archive. Those services have their own terms. Artwork and metadata belong to their respective rights holders. Album Bands does not claim ownership of album covers, artist names, or release titles.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Intellectual property

The Album Bands name, site design, and original code are owned by the operator of albumbands.com, except for third-party marks and content noted above. Generated palette images are provided as-is for personal use.

7. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Search results, colors, and links may be incomplete or inaccurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Album Bands is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms. The date at the top is the latest revision.
